SACRED SOUND
"Sound is a uniquely potent form of energy medicine that entrains us to the vibrations of our own essence and that of the universe."
Mitchell L. Gaynor, M.D.
It has been an honor and blessing to study the magic of sacred sound, sound healing with tibetan/himalayan ancient bowls. This universe of such sacred ancient wisdom has challenged every cell of mine into complete transmutation. I have had to surrender over and over again until total surrender was the only option.
Maybe a path immersed in this essence is no longer ours to be defined... It feels that way. It is said that Om is God's magic word... and sound is ...well let's leave it at this for now, but I will say that I feel sacred sound can change everything...anything...knows not barriers...or limits...and its power has been forgotten.

The ancient Himalayan bowls are made from a consecrated seven metal alloy.
Each metal is associated to a planet, Silver/ Moon, Gold/Sun, Mercury/Mercury, Tin/Jupiter, Lead/Saturn, Copper/Venus, Iron/Mars. They were said to be collected, smelted, purified, cast, reheated, and hammered into shape and tone by Himalayan monks who devoted their lives to spiritual practice. When ably played/activated, the bowls can produce at least five different individual and simultaneous tones, each at its own consistent high frequency. And this amazing overlay of tones creates a harmonic dance of vibrations that is not only blissful but most effective for healing. From the music of the spheres (Pythagoras/Johannes Kepler) - philosophical concept that regards proportions in the movements of the celestial bodies (planets/Sun/Moom) as a form of music - to the studies of Jeffrey Thompson, D.C. (Director of Neuroacoustic Research at the California Institute of Human Science, who discovered that the sounds produced by the rings of Uranus are virtually identical to those produced by the Himalayan Bowls, the sounds of these sacred ancient instruments permeate the air with an aura of cosmic essence.
When we look at the stars might we sense Saturn's hum... or Jupiter's?
And if the sound of Tibetan bowls are practically identical to the sounds of the rings of Uranus, and the high pitch cries of dolphins are alike the sounds of Jupiter, who are we to deny the power of the vibration of these sounds and the wandering stars significance in the web of life?

May that the Musica Universalis ( music of the spheres) is as real as you and I, and the whole of the cosmos in its natural perfect state, is pure harmony? That might leave us here on earth with the responsibility of correcting our extreme dissonance (lack of harmony)...

The sound of the bowls and the way they resonate with us, remind us that we are much more than our personalities, bodies, pains, fears, intellect, stories...
The powerful vibrations of these amazing bowls reawaken the awareness of our true essence and remind us of our eternal connection to source.
